                   GAME REPORT

April 9th

Its all comes down to this...

After more than a year away from the game the boys of summer are back. On a beautiful April day the (thirsty) Camels, and (Canadian) Sunshine are ready to take the field for game one of the final season. Oasis field has been groomed and properly maintained for this huge  game. This game will set the tempo of the deciding year of the great BWYL. In year one of the league the sunshine took it to the league and easily won the championship, but the camels bounced back for the slight amount of season 2 they played and took the season split. This is it, what it all comes down to, this season will decide all and it begins now, April 9th 12:30 pm.

Sunshine finally on track
The Sunshine have finally began to get back the magic theyve had the last 2 season of play. After the slowest start in team history they have come back with 4 straight wins. This in part to Alfred the fifth recieving much more run support than he did in the first 8 games. This partly is do to N. Jermaine (2 time batting champ)  finally getting on pace belting 10 homers in the last to series all in all the sunshine have scored 35 to the camels 12.

After 21-6 W  Sunshine go down twice
The Canadien sunshine looked to brake out of there, what seems to happen every year preseason slump. They ended game one of the season with  a 21-6 victory, but the Thirsty Camels quickly came back with back to back wins both by less than runs. the finals were 2-0 and 7-6.

Thirsty Camels down to final game
The Thirsty Camels are down to there last chance in the BYWL championship as they trail the Canadien Sunshine 3-1 in the series, althought the camels perhaps with a burst of luck managed to squirm through the last game winning 1-0 it doesnt seem as if the have nearly enough to over take the Canadian Sunshine 3 games straight, as the Canadians dominate the regular season with a 30-8 mark.

July 23

N. Jermaine posts a 1 hitter on lazy play
     N. Jermaine pitched a one hitter that set Whyte Jamal out of his hit streak. The game boasted very little offense and a great deal of pitching. The no hitter was broken when Alfred the 5th missed a fairly easy tag on a play that was trying to be streched into a double. Then in the following innging Whyte Jamal served of yet another homerun to Alfred the 5th to ad to his league leading 36 given up and puting his era back almost to 10.00. The Canadian Sunshine won 3-1.

June 19th

Canadian Sunshine take another
In this 30 game checkpoint of the season the Canadian Sunshine once again took command early opening up the game with a 4 run lead. Later the Camels closed in to make it 4-3. Then in the 3rd the Sunshine came back to take a 6-3 lead only for the Camels to rally once again and bring the game back within one, but thats as far as the Camels could take it as the Sunshine won 7-5.

Sunshine on fire as the streak grows to 13
The Canadian Sunshine put yet another Victory into this growing 13 game win streak. The Game was never very close as the canadian Sunshine opened the game with a single that turned into an inside the park homer. From there the game just got worse as Sunshine players blasted 1 deep back to back to open the lead to 7-1, and thats how the game ended.

June 10th

Game 1: Canadian Sunshine Win on Late Homerun
Most would say that this is the best wiffleball that the Thirsty Camels have played in a long time. On this day they would experience two awful upsets. In game one the game was lead by the Thristy Camels until the third inning when the Canadian Sunshine drove in four runs to take the lead. The Thirsty Camels didn't give up though as they tied the game in the top of the third, 4-4. The fourth, pitched by closer Whyte Jamal and N. Jermaine was scoreless. In the top of the fifth though, pitcher N. Jermaine broke the late inning tie with a solo-homerun, which was his 26th of the year. Then he went on to shut down the Thirsty Camels in the bottom of the inning for the 5-4 victory.

Game 2: N. Jermaine Wins game in another late inning miracle
Game two was if at all possible even more painful for the Thirsty camels. In this one the thirsty camels took an early lead and held that 1-0 through the entire game, but In the fourth inning the Canadian Sunshine started to put something together with two men on, when again closer Whyte Jamal gave up the game winning 3-run homerun to opposing closer N. Jermaine (27) for a 3-1 final.

June 5th

Game 1: BYWL shine in inter-league play...

As once again the Canadian Sunshine and Thirsty Cammels took the field together against the TNL, it was a new field with the same result. The game was close early as the BYWL were up 4-3, but after Canadian Sunshine Closer N. Jermaine's Dazzling 2 innings of work and some strong hitting by hitters Farook the duke and Alfred the 5th the game was in hand. The NYWL took this one 8-3.

Game 2: Blowout in game two...

In game two of this double-header the game was again very close early as the two teams went into the third inning tied at 0-0. N. Jermaine had another two inning jem giving up just one hit and no runs. Then the BYWL turned it on as they doused the opponent in what seemed like batting practice. After the bottom of the forth the game stood at 4-0. Then in the final inning the BYWL really got things going as N. Jermaine lead of with a 21 pitch single that rolled into 5 more runs. The forth of which was a tramendous blast to deep center field, which some spectators called the deepest shot they had ever seen. The game was closed out be default and the BYWL ended this one with a 9-0 final.

May 27rd

Game 1: Sunshine streak ends at 5...

Canadian Sunshine lost their first game as the bats ran cold after hitting in 24 the game before. The game was a display of the quality level the young Camels could play at as the got some key hits and masterful pitching highlighted by Whyte Jamals 1-2 fourth to keep the score at 4-3.

Game 2: N. Jermaine seals the deal...

In game two of this double-header the canadian Sunshine got back to thier winning ways as the belted the ball around the park. The game was put out of reach by N, Jermaines with a 3rd inning grand slam to lengthen the lead to 9-2, as the canadian sunshine went on to win it 11-3.

N. Jermaine Has a field-day in Derby...

The Homerun derby on sunday was a derby that showed thats showed fans of all teams why N jermaine is the league leader in longballs. In this affair he took a commanding lead and never looked back.

The derby was between Sunshine player N. Jermaine(9), teamate Alfred the 5th(5), and also Camel player Whyte Jamal(4).

        SCORING
1. N.Jermaine       9
2. Alfred the 5th   5
3. Whyte Jamal     4

Also unvailed in this game was the new bat and super ball. It is still unsure if this will be involved in the all-star game that is scheduled to be played at Haigh Stadium.

Inter-league Golden for BYWL...

Early sunday afternoon the Oasis opened  for a special meeting between the BYWL and the NL, Sunshine and Camel fans alike cheered for there favorite BYWL players.

May 21st
Sunshine 24 Camels 2

The game began just after dark and not long after, the Canadian Sunshine started there scoring barrage that would not be cooled down till the game was complete.

The sunshine began with an early 13-0 run in the first inning, in the ladder part of the inning the Camels were sat down back-to-back.

The only bright spot was the middle relief (Farook The Duke) which let up only a couple runs to the red hot Sunshine. The game ended on a 1-2 fourth, with pitcher N. Jermaine closing things out.

Game 1 goes to Camels 9-8...(May 17th)

It was opening night at the Oasis home of the Thirsty Camels. Things went well till early in the third inning when the Camels built themselves a lead that the Canadian Sunshines struggling bats could could not come back from as they fell one run short 9-8. The Camels were very incouraged with the play they displayed after a rough spring training that was dominated by the Canadian Sunshine. Whyte Jamal of the Thirsty Camels had this to say...

"Well if you think about it we have half the wins we did all last season."

           PLAYER REPORT

Whyte Jamal Shocks league (June 6th)

Whyte Jamal Shocked the league ealier today by belting his first homer in more than 100 games of play. It came in the middle of the third to bring the game within 1 run, which the camels would bettle to get later that inning, unfortunately for the thirsty camels N. Jermaine belted a game winning homer in extra innings.

N. Jermaine Comes out of Pitching slump (May 15th)

After early season troubles and 6 ER in the first inning of game 1, N. Jermaine has managed to turn it around and follow that with 5 scoreless innings. The Canadien sunshine will look to come out of there batting slump and get back on there winning road after dropping two in a row to the thirsty camels.

The Canadian Sunshine Find Themselves On A 13 Game Streak     (July 19th)

After two more victories at thee Oasis the Canadian Sunshine find themselves riding a 13 game winning streak. This streak has gone unnoticed in most part because of the long amount of time between these games. The last time the Canadian sunshine road a streak like this, it lasted straight through the championship. That remands the longest winning streak in BYWL history at 34.

"Power Ain't No Thang" (July 19th)

It is when known throughout the league that Whyte Jamals power numbers dropped a great deal after the first three games,( in which he hit his only 6 homeruns), but Whyte Jamal assures all that he was never a power hitter to begin with and that at that time he was just seeing the ball real well. Records show that Whyte Jamal is in fact correct, to add to that, whyte jamal had much the same type of year last year and near the end of last year his bat was extremely hot, well see if he can do the same again this year.

Whyte Jamal Rerturns to the BYWL (July 19th)

Whyte Jamal announced his return to the BYWL just a few days ago in Salem N,H. He decided that the fued running through the league would end soon. This is great news for the BYWL as they have already announced they are back in wiffleball.

Whyte Jamal missing...(June 5th)

Shortly before the inter-league play on June 5th VS Bhaskars TNL, the BYWL learned that Whyte Jamal would not be playing in the game with an unexused absense. It is still uncertain why Jamal missed the game and from this point it seems no major action will be taken against him. With Jamals absense the BYWL went 2-0 against the TNL.

N. Jermaine ends slump...(May 27th)

Candien Sunshine batter ends his batting slump in a big way as he belted a grandslam to left field to open up game two of the double-header. This came after a slide of hitting around .300 and 0 homeruns in the last three games, this compaired to the three games before that were he was hitting almost .600 and belted 4 homers.

Whyte Jamal Slumps...(May 23rd)

Another big story is the great low opposing pitcher Whyte Jamal, who play's an "opener" position and also closes out games for the Camels is in. after a strong early season drive for the all-star game he is barely hanging on with a monstrous ERA of more than 13.

Sunshine Slump Ends...(May 21st)

After a slow start the Sunshine bats are on fire batting around .500 in the last two games. During the last two games more than 12 homerun balls have been shelled out of the park.
